The Greek Economic and Commercial Affairs Minister has visited the port of Taranto

The general management vice-director for the Politics of Internationalisation of the Italian Ministry of Productive Activities accompanied him.

The Greek plenipotentiary minister of economic and commercial affairs, Ioannis Tzen, and the general management vice-director for the Politics of Internationalisation of the Italian Ministry of the Pruductive Activities, Ferdinando Massimo, has visited today the Port of Taranto. The visit was linked to the aim of Taranto Port Authority to develop a cooperation policy between Puglia and Balkan regions. After the positive results obtained during the convention that took place on 26th of January, regarding "the connection between Puglia and the south Balkan region", the president of Taranto Port Authority, Sandro Petriccione, thought to be advisable to renew the invitation to the minister, to visit Taranto port infrastructures. The meeting has been occasion to discuss about the different points of view concerning the proposal to evaluate the potentiality of the resource offered to the two countries by the sea highway infrastructure called "via Egnatia", which will be completed within 2006. The visit finished with a meeting with Mrs Rossana Di Bello, the major of Taranto.
